What is

"Sedation Dentistry"?

There are many levels of "sedation".  From the use of Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas) that will relaxe a patient to complete "general anesthesia" that will allow a patient to be asleep during the entire dental procedure.

    What types of "sedation"

    does  Dr. Turner provide?

   Our office provides Nitrous Oxide

  sedation (laughing gas). Along with

 that type of sedation we are licensed

 by the state of Missouri as a general

 anesthesia site and is able to provide

   all levels of sedation up to general

   anesthesia with the use of top level

anesthesiologists that have experience

      in the dental community.

  What should I expect with the

    different types of sedation?  

     With NItrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)

   you can drive to and from the office for

 your appointment.  This type of "sedation"

   is gone by the time you leave the office.  

   With IV sedation (general Antesthesia)

   you will need to be driven to and from 

 your appointment.You will need to plan on

going home after the procedure and relaxing

 the rest of the day to allow the effects

of the sedation to be fully removed.
